Hello once again! First off, apologies to those who have been writing to us since the beginning of March. Our inbox has been slim the past few months and today it ballooned from the hundreds of messages we have been missing! We were wondering where all our mail went to. It’s something we have to talk to our service provider about. Give us some time and we will be answering your mail, even if we are a few months late.

Yes, we are still accepting special orders. Our last batch of orders which was supposed to arrive in February was unfortunately caught in the busy days of moving and finding our feet again in a different setting. Dearest customers, I don’t know how we can make it up to you but we will. We have scheduled a shipment for mid-May and your books will be in that shipment. If there are any changes to your orders please e-mail us now.

We are fine but we have been away for too long following our move from Libis. We are still in the process of 1) setting up our online store and 2) looking for a new place to park out shelves. For now, setting up our online store is our priority.

We have mail to answer and books to order. Please continue to e-mail and send your orders over to us. In the next few months we will have a more efficient system to gather and respond to your queries.

If you are thinking of passing by the store for one last time, please do. We will be there until the end of the week. We are just starting to put away some of the books so most of them will still be on the shelves.

When we said everything in the store will be on a moving out sale, we did not expect people to ask about the furniture.  We never really considered selling our shelves, but if you are interested in any of our furniture or frames, please let us know here.

We love libraries.

If you are a library, please mention this fact to us when purchasing your books so we can give you a little something extra for just being a library.  Please be prepared to show documentation to that effect.

If you are planning to build a personal library or community library and are purchasing a large number of books (fifty and above), please ask for a special discount at the counter.  We have a good collection of the classics and children’s books that will be good for starting a library.

If you do not have a library, may we suggest starting one. 

We love bookstores too, by the way.

If you haven’t visited our sale yet, please drop by.  We promise you will not regret it.  We choose our books carefully and in all our bookselling years there has been one consistent thing our customers have said about us — we have a great collection.

The sale will be until Sunday, January 11.  We will be around for a few more days after that but the books may already be off the shelves and in their boxes.

Our deadline for the February shipment is January 17.  Please confirm orders by settling your down payment by that date.  You may do this by going to the store (we will be there until next week) or by making a bank deposit.  You can find our account information by going to our Special Orders page which we have recently updated.

You will be glad to know that while we are in between locations we are offering free delivery within Metro Manila for books and special orders that are worth at least P1,000.

Our sale has been extended up to January 11.  We will be starting to pack our books but you can still go to the store and shop until Sunday.

We will continue to take in book orders using the form you can find on our site.  For those with pending book orders, do not worry, we have your contact information and you have ours.  If your books are not at the store by the end of the year they will be delivered to you for free.  For those whose books have already arrived, please pick them up soon or let us know if you have any delivery preferences.

Of course there will be a sale.    We always have a year-end sale but this year’s sale will be bigger than ever as also we prepare to move out of our Libis store to our new home.

Everything in the store is on sale except for items on consignment basis.  This would include magazines and religious/inspirational titles tucked in the white shelves near our counter.

          30% if you buy 1-2 books
          40% if you buy 3-5 books
          50% if you buy 6 or more books

Some of you we may have told already but we really should make an official statement.

We would like to let you know that we are leaving our home for five years at Intrepid Plaza - Libis and finding our home on the world wide web.  We are very excited about this and hope that you are too.  We have been planning to launch our online e-commerce site for many years and that time is nearly here.

Our last day at our physical store will be on January 4 and our online launch will be in a few short months after that.

We will be making many more important announcements like this in the next few days.  We would like to thank you for being part of Booktopia, especially those who have been our loyal customers since we opened our doors five years ago.  It has been great fun meeting with you and serving your reading needs.  We hope to continue to do the same for you in our new home.
